About
I started Glassworks Web Development while living in St Helen - the town, it’s industrial past and world renowned glass industry inspired me to build a company that provided robust, carefully crafted web solutions delivered with a no nonsense approach.
Like the interconnected computers that give us the transformative internet, St Helens is interconnected its own way and sits as a rail hub and a gateway to the northwest. With glassworks web development sitting at this physical nexus, it has allowed me to travel, connect with clients and discuss their business without the impersonal distance of virtual connection.
It may seem odd for me, a technologist , to stress the importance of in person connection. For me, the human element and technology are not contradictory but are best when working in a symbiotic relationship. Too often technology companies emphasis the importance of the technological and neglect the human element, giving impersonal and awkward solutions and leaving clients feeling disempowered.
Glassworks Web Development’s mission is to challenge the necessities of this human disconnect. While cost is a critical factor in all business decisions, and bespoke services are an often excuse for an inflated price tag, I strongly believe that there exists a middle ground where I can deliver products that better reflect my clients, make my clients feel more empowered and that can delivered at a competitive price.
